Wild Fermentation and The Art of Fermentation
These two account book by Sandor Katz are the first ones that I always recommend to begin fermenters .
I fix my start in the fermentation world with theoriginal variant of Wild Fermentation , and now I also own thenew update version . It was probably the first book that really brought tempestuousness into popularity . It is such an amazing resource , and if you want to only purchase one leger on fermentation then this is the one !

Traditionally work Foodsby Shannon Stronger ofNourishing Daysis full of awesome recipe ! Besides vegetable ferments , which she has quite a few of , there are also formula for dairy ferments like yoghurt , milk kefir , and cheese .

She also has a huge section on sourdough recipes , including gluten - free sourdough , which I love ! I made her recipe forSweet Potato Kvass , also acknowledge as fresh potato fly , and it was really good !

Due to the more complicated recipes , I would say this book is for more advanced fermenters . It ’s perfect for anyone who really want to dive deeply into experimental fermentation !

Make Mead Like a Viking and Brew Beer Like a Yeti
These two amazing books by Jereme Zimmerman are a must have on any homebrewers bookshelf !
Make Mead Like a Vikingwas one of the rule book that really let the George Herbert Mead movement back in activeness ( and you all know how much I love George Herbert Mead ) ! It is a bully imagination that includes history , how to brew , and a bunch of really endearing sound simple mead recipes .
Brew Beer Like a Yetiis along the same telephone line , with simple recipes for ales , gruits , and other beer - like brews using minimal hops . Many of the recipes are flavored with herb , spicery , flower , and wildcrafted component , which I hump !
