“ For over 20 years our substance business has been the output and export of roses but we have latterly decided to diversify into summertime flower , ” say Yvonne Chelagat , Business Development and Marketing Manager of Sian Roses , which is now rebranding to Sian Flowers . “ Due to this diversification into summertime heyday , we felt it was necessary to change our mark name to Sian Flowers , to reflect our new strategic counsel . " The official launch of the young steel will go on on Monday August 30 , 2021 at the Royal FloraHolland auction in Naaldwijk , The Netherlands . From Sian Roses to Sian FlowersSian has been focusing on rosiness for the preceding three decennium . Chelagat excuse that they of late decided to flesh out their variety . “ We need to keep up with market tendency and the requirements from our customer . We noticed that there was a lot of demand for other flowers besides roses , and we decided that we want to be a one stop shop for our customer . Our objective is to have a terminated basket in our product portfolio that will help adjust ourselves to our customers ' needs . to boot , hold summertime flowers in our mix will also enable us to achieve our strategy of value addition where we can volunteer our customers packed at source bouquets . ” Chelagat explains that the name Sian stay in the new sword name as it ruminate on the principles of persistence and stability of the brand , while heyday reflects the young diversity in their portfolio and represent the broad array of products they now have . The fresh Sian Flowers logoAdding 30 hectare of summer flowersSian Roses has experienced major growth during their 29 years of business concern . They lead off with less than 10 hectare of yield and have since expanded to over 100 hectare of rose product , and have now add summer flowers . The summer peak task , holler Sololo Agriculture LTD , went into commercial-grade production in late 2020 and has since been expanded gradually with a good array of different summer flowers and verdure . “ We have now consolidate our full intersection blood line and we palpate that it is the right sentence to rebrand , ” says Chelagat . Further growth in the worksChristopher Kulei , Director at Sian Roses / Flowers , adds that this expansion is due to the big demand they have been experiencing these past years . “ These past years have been interesting to say the least . It ’s been characterized by a myriad of challenges but we have still been able to grow and tally 30 hectares in the last yr . That is partly due to the interesting effect of COVID-19 . At Sian , we specialize in spray rosebush , and it has been very encouraging to see the continued need and growth in that line of business . And as we continue to expand , we are focusing on other varieties that will append value to our intersection business . Our plan is to continue our outgrowth over the next five old age , and raise even more in the years after that . ”Turning to sea freightEven though they export their flowers to lots of country almost worldwide , Kulei shares that they have not had many logistical issues . “ We transport to a wide range of countries , many of which were capable to remain open during the pandemic . Still , cargo content does stay a challenge . Therefore , we are doing trials of transport via ocean freightage more in the future . Our goal is to have a major portion of our blossom sent over sea , as this is better for the surroundings as well as significantly cheaper . ”
“ Keeping up with demand is the veridical challenge”Other than that , keeping up with the requirement has been the main challenge for Sian Flowers , which is a squeamish challenge to have , adds Kulei . “ Furthermore , we are focusing on our next goal . We are heavily investing into our IT side of the business , for meliorate the reliability of our inspection and repair .
