Life returns to east Austin; CTG swag!
Last Sunday was a perfectly amatory day to garden . envelop in mist , I imagined I was in a far away position , muck up about with bozo and cow nearby . Well , okay , anything to get past the drudgery of dig up a trug - ful of weeds from the back way of life near the wampum . I paused in the muddy mess to watch a mockingbird above my head go into his karaoke subroutine , just for me . I wager they do n’t have a mockingbird like that in far away places .
While I was there , I clip 5 miscellanea of lettuce to put in the spinner .
Then , I lifted up the stepping stones & shove mud underneath to elevate them back up a bit . tidy up with mulch .

I dug up the Brazilian tilt rose ( Pavonia braziliensis ) from the crepe bottom and strike it to a spot in the cat cove where it can tramp and flower with abandon this year without annoying my French pancake bed vision .
I planted some prosperous oregano and topped off the cove path with sweet crushed granite .
raw life is everywhere .

I ’m amazed at how much recovered from the bass freezing . Since the abutilons were leafing out , I lop them back , something I ’d been itch to do for a yr . Freezes are very motivating . This one ’s ‘ Patrick ’ , partner with spuria irises and aquilegia .
Nearby , Narcissus ‘ Sweetness ’ and spring starflowers go forward bloom . Made billet to add up more next fall .
I measured the ‘ fragrancy ’ prime : approx . 2″. Gigantic Star is 4″.

Here ’s Narcissus ‘ Abba ’ in the crape bed .
Now and then , I had to halt for a whiff from the fragrant Mexican plum flowers .
appear very cautiously and you ’ll see my little friend up there , urging the flowers to fruit soon .

And , great news ! The thryallis bear witness tiny footling leaf buds . I ’ll clip it this weekend .
