good insects use jolting vegetation to either overwinter themselves or put egg to be incubate next spring . Those egg will hatch before aphid and other pestis seem . The grownup from this first round of eggs will lay their nut in time to control the aphids then afterwards on thrips , spider jot etc .

By cutting back all that jolting flora now you are fundamentally toss nature ’s army of good insects into the trash and that ’s a waste of their talent .
