The advent of a new year is a good time to think about what was and what could be in the vegetable garden.
•I will try not toover orderseeds that I will not get constitute .
•Sincedill(Anethum graveolens ) is herb of the year for 2010 , i hope to institute as many varieties of dill as i can discover , in consecutive plantings , so I have it for as long as possible throughout the growing season .
•I will procure andmulchwith wheat straw early on to control mourning band and soil eroding from outpouring rains .
•I will keep distinction and draw garden planting in mygardening notebookthis year .
•I will be certain to plant enough serrano , poblano and fatali chilepeppersthis twelvemonth since they are my darling .
•I’ll put more elbow grease intofall crop .
•I’ll preface my infant granddaughter to the pleasures of horticulture .
•I’m going to get even better aboutweeding — really !
•I’m going to read how to most effectivelypreservewhat I grow so that I waste less .
•I will give more time to theharvestingpart of my garden , so less is knock off .
•I will donate more of my green groceries to thelocal solid food pantriesfor those who need it .
•I will con and peststo keep my veggie healthier .
•I will take a 2nd ( and hopefully successful ) stab atvermicomposting .
•Last , but not least , I will continue to produce informative and awesomely coolheaded posts for VegetableGardener.com .
•I’ll append moregarden bedsso I lay off whining that I do n’t have enough garden space .
•I’ll repot all of my houseplants – which I tend to neglect .
•I’ll make sentence to collect my ownheirloom seedsthis yr .
•I’llsave more containersto start semen in and not buy any pre - made ejaculate cells .
•I’ll participate in thePlant A Row for the Hungryeffort by planting , grow and donate herbs and vegetables to a food cant or soup kitchen in my neighborhood .
•I’ll snub the cold weather andget an early beginning .
