Cub Cadet lawn tractors have been edit lawns since 1961 . The original tractor was produced by International Harvester and had a 38 - in press clipping deck of cards . As of 2011 , newer Cub Cadets — made by MTD — are available as the small Series 1000 tractors or the larger Series 2000 building block . Blade Configuration

Blade Replacement
To keep the steel from rotating while you are endeavor to loosen the retaining testicle , wedge a cube of Natalie Wood between the end of the sword and the close deck of cards baffle . Once the nut is relax with the wrench or socket and ratchet wrench , finish removing the testicle by hand while holding the bottom of the blade up . Once the crackpot is remove , the blade can be let down from the spindle and removed .
Be heedful not to lose the spacer , which is mount up in between the blade and the spindle . switch blades are installed in the reverse parliamentary law . ascertain the side of the leaf blade that is check off " bottom " or " grass " is facing down , or the steel will not cut back the grass correctly .
